I’m Gaurav Rastogi — Founder and CEO of Enlightened Coffee Baba.
There was a time in my life when everything seemed to fall apart. After years of dedication in the corporate world, I faced repeated delays in promotions, conflicts with supervisors, and a painful heartbreak from a workplace relationship gone wrong. It was a phase filled with chaos, self-doubt, and silence that echoed louder than words. My confidence was shaken, my purpose felt blurred, and in an attempt to escape the emotional turmoil, I started relying on alcohol — only to realize it was further draining my physical, mental, and spiritual energy.
I kept applying for jobs on every portal, from LinkedIn to every recruitment platform imaginable, but nothing meaningful came my way. I felt stuck — watching life pass me by while I struggled to make sense of what was left.
But deep within that darkness, life was trying to teach me something. About self-worth. About inner strength. About patience & About alignment
One quiet morning, amidst the heaviness, I made myself a simple cup of coffee. That moment changed everything.
As I sat with that warm cup in hand, something clicked. Unlike the processed foods and alcohol that were pulling me down, this coffee gave me energy. It sparked mental clarity, gave me the strength to move — to run, jog, or simply show up for life again. That cup became my companion, my clarity, and eventually, my calling.
I thought to myself: If I can’t find the right job, why not create one?
More than that — why not create a movement?
That morning marked the birth of Enlightened Coffee Baba — a brand born from personal struggle, powered by healing, and driven by a mission to redefine coffee culture in India.
During this journey, my mother — Geeta Rastogi — became my pillar of strength. Her unconditional love, nurturing presence, and silent emotional support kept me grounded. Naturally, she became my co-founder and the other director of the company.
